Further information about Natures Aid St Johns Wort 333mg Extract

The medicinal powers of St John's Wort (Hypericum Perforatum) have been known for more than 2000 years. Often referred to as "The Sunshine Herb", Hypericum has been hailed as the natural alternative to anti-depressant drugs. In Germany, this herbal remedy is licensed and outsells Prozac. The plants healing powers lie in hypercin, which is present in the dark red juice secreted from the plants storage cells. Experiments show that St John's Wort inhibits the depletion of neurotransmitters. If these are depleted, the area of the brain dealing with mood and emotion is affected.
