Reflexology is an ancient healing art, known to man for many thousand of years. In short it involves foot massage. Reflexology is used around the world in early Indian, Chinese and Egyptian cultures.
Reflexology is a science, which deals with the principle that there are reflexes in the feet, ear, nose, and throat that correspond to each and every organ and all parts of the body. Stimulating these reflexes can help many health problems in a natural and safe way. It is like a healthful maintenance. It can relax, energize, tone balance and heal the body. Reflexology works by the stimulating of flow of energy to all parts of the body. It is like an electric control panel going through the house. It clears blockages and helps the body to achieve a state of equilibrium and good health.
Reflexology can be useful for employers to help their employees to deal with stress and decrease illness in the workplace. It is estimated that 75% of all illness is stress-related. Stress can reduce efficiency and accuracy of work. Prolonged stress can lead to the staff being chronically tired and irritable and the development of physical illness such as colds and flu.
