For many people, avoiding high levels of carbohydrates can be difficult. While some believe that eating a low-carb diet may help people lose weight, putting into practise isn't always so easy.
Today we take a look at a possible Atkins diet menu, aiming to keep the carbs super low.
Sample Atkins Diet Menu's
Breakfast
Carbs: 2 grams
Cube 1 cup ham
Beat 3 eggs
Sprinkle of red chilli powder
Heat a skillet and brown the ham in a bit of butter. Add
the eggs and scramble. Add 1/4c shredded cheddar. Stir in
and then wrap all this in a large lettuce leaf. Breakfast
Burritos!
Lunch
Carbs: 4 grams
½ pound ground beef browned
2c lettuces shredded
2tbs sour cream
2tbs salsa
1/4c shredded cheddar
Layer for a taco salad
Dinner
Carbs: 7 grams

All of these Dr Atkins receipes / recipes are suitable for those following the Slim for Life Program - the program that's flexible enough to allow you to lose weight quickly and enjoy what you eat.
Szechwan Chicken
Total Dish : 4 servings
Per Serve: 28% of Slim for Life ™ Recommend Daily Allowance
4 chicken breast, no skin, no bone, R-T-C
2 tablespoons soy flour
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 cloves garlic -- minced
1/3 cup soy sauce -- (low salt)
1 1/2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
1 teaspoon Splenda
1/4 cup water
3 large green onions -- coarsely chopped
1 dash cayenne
Cut chicken into 1 1/2 inch 25mm cubes. Lightly toss with flour in bag to coat. Heat oil in skillet or wok; stir-fry chicken and garlic until lightly browned. Add soy sauce, vinegar, Splenda and water. Cover and cook 3 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. Add green onions and cayenne; cook uncovered about 2 minutes longer.
BBQ Beef Fillet
Total Dish : 4 servings
Per Serve: 168% of Slim for Life ™ Recommend Daily Allowance
2 1/2 kilograms beef fillet steak -- 5lb in one piece
MARINADE
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 teaspoons thyme -- leaves
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
2 cloves chopped garlic
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup red wine
1/2 teaspoon molasses
2 tbsp parsley for garnish
Combine all marinade ingredients and marinate meat for at least three hours or preferably overnight. Remove and drain. Reserve marinade.
BBQ or Webber cook beef according to manufacturers instructions. Otherwise roast for 1 hour at 420°F-200°C for medium rare or cook a little longer for well done.
Reheat marinade and add wine and molasses. Reduce to thick sauce.
Spread in centre of warm plate about three tablespoons of Potato nearly. Arrange slices of beef on Potato and pour sauce over them. Garnish with parsley leaves. Serve with Greek salad.
